When creating this animation, there were key variables to consider as we shifted from ideation to rollout, such as product realism; wanting the Shadow Boards to look as realistic and refined as possible, while not compromising the scale of each board. In addition, we worked with a variety of voiceover artists to narrate the film in five different languages, which meant that we had to tweak each film based on the voiceover’s pacing; this process was time consuming but rewarding when sharing all final outputs with our client.
While embodying Vikan’s corporate and clean brand-identity, our animation style accurately depicts the Shadow Boards and their purpose as a unique cleaning tool storage solution. Through brand and market research, we were able to portray the boards with efficient information including product dimensions, how to use the boards, their customisability, and how to re-order necessary tools. When animating the film, our approach features clear, slow transitions between each board, ensuring the content is easy to understand. We used a variety of colours to distinguish the Board types and their purposes in setting high hygiene standards.
